About the Washington Grain Alliance
The Washington Grain Alliance represents the Washington Grain Commission (WGC) and the Washington Association of Wheat Growers (WAWG) to create a unified industry voice. The alliance is governed by an Executive Committee (EC), which consists of representatives from each group. With approval from each board of the directors from WAWG and the WGC, the alliance was born on July 1, 2007, and Thomas B. Mick was named the organization's first chief executive officer.
MISSION STATEMENT
The Washington Grain Alliance strives to speak with one voice for the 20 Eastern Washington counties that produce mass amounts of grain. To make the alliance better strategically positioned for the future, the WGA prides itself on its grassroots involvement at the producer level.
